Sunday Morning Quarterfinals-
Condors over Pirates, 15-7. Los Guapos downing higher seeded Dumphuck, 15-10. San Diego/LA over Sake Bomb 15-7. After recovering from an early 3 point deficit, The Heatbags escape the Black Tide 11-9.
Semifinals-
The Condors over Los Guapos, 15-8. The other semi went the distance. Down 16-15, the Heatbags made the strategic move, subbing in Fred Ballerini who caught the final two goals to send the Heatbags back to the finals for the 4th year in a row. Final score, Heatbags 17, San Diego/LA 16.
Men's Finals-
In a rematch of Saturday's pool play game and the Classic Final of 1996, The Heatbags looked strong with 18 players to win another Classic Title. The Condors were slimmed down to 11 by the final. The game was close early with the two teams trading points to a 5-4 Heatbag lead. After a Condors time-out and 3 unanswered scores, the Condors took the half at 8-5. With stellar offensive play by Jason Seidler and Andy Crews, combined with the defensive domination of Dan Dewey (3 blocks in the final), the Condors soared to a 15-9 victory. The first Condors Classic title in over 10 years.
