Favorite type of play:
A year ago I would've said deep offense, but running down a disc for a goal has proven slightly less rewarding than running down a guy for HIS disc and a break. Thanks to force one way, I now feel responsible for letting opponents know that they're not really that fast in the grand scheme of things.

Reason for playing ultimate:
Travel, socializing with the coolest, most interesting folks around, making big plays, and winning, in reverse order.

Lessons learned playing ultimate:
You have to be selfless to win when it counts, and pretty much everybody who plays this sport is pretty nice... off the field. Oh, and I have a long way to go to reach my potential.

Personal comment:
This sport is great. It has provided so much for me over the years, though my path has veered away from the norm in the meanwhile. My life would be void of many of its finer points if not for a flyer picked up in the campus rec center. My team is fantastic. I've trained under many talented players and teams over a short career and in Santa Barbara I feel like I'm playing with guys who know just how to steer our talent in the right direction.
